Intro

Skyppr Pro was designed to help crew members track log their activities on board as well as have access to company resources, materials, bulletins and interact between vessels while offshore. This is the third version of this web app and we are very thankful to have found Rukodovitel as powerful tool to develop this app to where we need it.

Sign Up

All employees must sign up and agree to use skyppr. Once they have signed up, they will automatically be in the user group “clients.” They will only have access to employee on-boarding steps and the QHSE (company policy manual). Once they’ve completed on boarding, they will be assigned manually to their vessel by the system admin.

Calendar:

In the calendar users can request time off, see boat activity, and other important dates and events. 4

Assigned Vessel:

Each vessel is it’s own principal entity. (Valkyrie, Freya, Skadi, & Frigg). They all have a unique form of activity tracking but all share a basic structure of activity tracking: Logs, Projects, and Maintenance.

Vessel Forms:

An area where captains can submit and view submissions of various vessel activities. The forms are embedded from a 3rd party service that collects signatures for certain types of forms.

Projects:

Captains can create one-time, reoccurring, and update on going projects that are happening on the vessel.

Tasks:
- Each project can have unlimited tasks where users can create, update, and track status with photos and updates.

Maintenance

Engineers can track the maintenance and do routine checks on various vessel systems. All crew can see activity. All crew can log activity. All crew can update activity.

Skwawkr

Skwakr is supposed to work like a “group chat”, even though it is like a forum now, we plan to develop it so it works like a messenger. The entity “Skwawkr” is company wide whereas the “internal vessel lines” are just available to crew assigned to each vessel.
